I'm starting to get that feeling as well. My specs:

Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Quad  CPU   Q9450  @ 2.66GHz 
8Gb memory
Asus P5Q Pro
Nvidia 570GTX 1280mb
Nvidia driver 260.19.29
Creative Audigy 2 zs
