How this relates to Wine causing EDID polls is left as a (trivial) exercise for the reader, although I'll help a bit by saying that ProcRRGetScreenInfo() is the X server request handler for the RRGetScreenInfo request, and that you'll want to look at how RRGetInfo() is implemented.
