I just had a thought.  Would it be useful to try to run SoaSE on Windows using
the wined3d Windows driver?  If it has the same failure there, I suppose we
could then surely blame the wined3d code.  If it doesn't fail, well, I'm not
sure if that tells us much.  Perhaps it would then take running it in Wine on
Windows to be sure.
