First I tried:

a) With a clean prefix, installing the app includes the msvc*90* dlls - no
dice, can't find msvcr90.dll.

b) With a clean prefix, installing the vcrun2008 redist using winetricks and
then installing the application, still no go, can't find msvcr90.dll.
