I am afraid it still is with vs 1.1.20.

Interestingly now it only works with the glide wrapper. When I first install
the game and on the menu try to go to options to choose d3d, the game crashes.
If I have the glide wrapper installed, the menu screen is scrambled. The game
requires directx 3 btw.
