Hello Austin English,

I did it on the wine-git i did the regression test on.
when i tested after i did

$ git reset --hard 68b15bc5ffe6ddf5d08cbc13479eaf718ad5e39f
$ ./configure && make

I heard the beeping sound.

after i did

$ git show 68b15bc5ffe6ddf5d08cbc13479eaf718ad5e39f | patch -p1 -R
$ ./configure && make

I did not hear the beeping.
