Happy to help bisect if needed. I can test intermediate dev builds reliably in
my clean prefix with the exact repro steps (Window → Workspace → Select Layout
→ Cancel → Window menu fails to appear).

Let me know if you want me to try specific commits or pre-built dev snapshots.
