Do you make any changes in winecfg after clearing the prefix? Anything at all? Also, how was this instance of wow installed originally? Im suspecting it's location as a possible cause at the moment. I go into winecfg to get sound and drives setup, using the autodetect, and then modifying the drives to suit my needs, but I leave the Z: drive, as that covers my entire filesystem. If you don't go into winecfg at all, then the drive setup -may- have something to do with it. Even if you do, the filesystem used on the device where your wow is installed may be a cause. So might be just how it was installed (wine vs windows, diff win versions, or even disc vs web installers).
