[Bug 12608] In World of Warcraft there are no roads, and squares of landscape are blank as of WoW 2.4

Compiz/etc. are disabled and the effects are still present.  Also this started
occurring with patch 2.4 of world of warcraft, so I don't think it's "just" a
driver bug, but as this problem doesn't exist on an 8800 GTS (with an install
of wow copied from this machine), I'm sure the driver is part of it.
