Are you all seeing this issue (or something related) on Nvidia? I have tried to reproduce it on my laptop which uses ATI but I don't see any issues here. One issue I see though is that at least in a recent Wine 3D mode (16-bit) won't work but software rendering (8-bit) works.
Yes, i had this issue on nVidia.
