Unfortunately I guess this won't work not even natively on a windows system. I know the game and it requires a far more powerful video card. Apart from this you have to make sure that you have 3D support under Linux for it. I suggest buying an nVidia Geforce FX 5200 or something like that, it should be enough to play generals. You could get a cheap one from ebay for example. Best regards.
