Not particularly optimistic, but does the attached patch help?
It looks like with this patch the application window now always does not appear before the error and `WINEDEBUG="+seh,+pid,+sync,+timestamp` now does not fix the problem (I can post it later if necessary). -- Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply.
