As per the Bugs page, I replaced my wine installation (4.0.2 from Debian) by a
development build (4.9 buster from winehq). 

The game installed, but I am unable to start the game, there's not even a
splash screen. 
The output is shown in attachment " Terminal output with winehq-dev 4.9 buster
"

Note that in both case, I followed the Linux extended instruction from WineHQ
here
