Ah, never mind sorry. I think I found the answer. "If you are using OS X 10.4
(Xcode v2.x), use the Customize button before clicking Install and select X11
SDK." I didn't do this when installing xcode tools before, and I think that's
why I can't run macports in the X11 terminal.
