2) this is an unmodified build of WINE, taken from Fedora's own repos
Wine project doesn't provide packages itself (there's no official rpm, deb, txz, pkg or whatever). So package maintainer from distro community is responsibly for building a package from sources. That's why I'm asking you to use wine git repo to check if it's a distro packaging fault.
3) close this bug - I'll dual boot a copy of Windows as that is less troublesome than fixing this is proving to be.
