From what i read i suspect you have accidently unchecked the desktop double buffering box in winecfg.Look in ~/.wine/user.reg for something that looks like: [Software\\Wine\\X11 Driver] 1137964209 "DesktopDoubleBuffered"="N" "ScreenDepth"="24"
The "N" should be changed in "Y".
