[Bug 18853] Notepad++ can't save files without an extension

Are you sure you tested with current git? I just saw there has been some work
on this issue in the meantime and commit
bd0fe7d26bafebc2e51ec54d354bf1e41bc3892e should fix it. I sent a patch to
extend this commit, but it does fix at least this bug for me.
