I replaced AUDIO.DLL with the one from my Windows XP VM, and it worked! Thanks
for spotting this, I had a glance at the debug log but there was a lot of stuff
in there, and I didn't notice the AUDIO.DLL message, so thanks for pointing
that out.

It's an old CD and a little bit scratched so it's possible the file was
corrupted, if this seems likely then this issue could be closed.
