I started with a fresh Wine directory, and ran the installer as a normal user, and the problem still persists. The installer just stops and I no longer hear my computer running at full power (with fans and hardware at full capacity).
I also got the terminal error of: err:wave:wodPlayer_WriteMaxFrags Error in writing wavehdr.
