http://forum.winehq.org/viewtopic.php?t=8897 mentioned those errors, too,
but they don't seem to have been bad in that case.

(It'd be interesting to hear if switching to an nvidia card fixes it,
but it's probably unreasonable to ask you to borrow one and try it.)
