I had this problem before installing ies4linux, so it is still valid. Does ies4linux cause problems?
Yes, ies4linux causes problems, and they should be taken up with the ies4linux folks, not here. That said, what Kai said is right: this doesn't work due to missing SSL (schannel) support.
