I'm under Gentoo x86_64, KDE 4.10.2, Nvidia-drivers-313.30, xrand-1.3.5 with a GTX-260 from Nvidia. About the /etc/X11/xorg.conf, I've got the following lines: Section "Screen" Identifier "Screen 1" Device "260GTX" Monitor "AX3818UTC" DefaultDepth 24 SubSection "Display" Depth 24 Modes "1680x1050" "1440x900" "1400x1050" "1280x1024" "1280x960" "1152x864" "1024x768" "800x600" "640x480" ViewPort 0 0 EndSubsection Option "ConnectToAcpid" "false" Option "metamodes" "DVI-I-3: nvidia-auto-select { ViewPortIn=1680x1050 }; DVI-I-3: nvidia-auto-select { ViewPortIn=1400x1050, ViewPortOut=1400x1050+140+0 }" EndSection My native resolution is 1680x1050 and Warcraft III works in 4:3 mode in 1400x1050 with the wine-1.5.8.
