Now I tested the game with the open source Nouveau driver as well, and the game exhibits the same problem as with the proprietary Nvidia driver (295.49). The screen is almost completely black, only the compass, minimap can be seen. Actually, there might be 2 different problems here. One is the dark screen, the other one is the missing objects.
