[Bug 21723] When Steam starts it gives error "To run Steam, you must first connect to the Internet" after trying to update.

Steam works fine here. Try installing it into a new wineprefix (just the Steam
itself). And you have to upgrade from wine-1.1.32 - it's a known bad version
that breaks Steam.
