I am considering this bug as fixed after patch

I downloaded version 3.0 and 3.5 (not 2.0 not available?). And both seem to
start just fine. 

Reverting commit 212dd9c226c7f20c28697592468b3e631c250809 brings back the
issue. I tested reverting only against 3.5 version.
