I've reverted to versions that worked, and they are way old. It may be best to abandon the current work, which was started a long time ago (2006) and move onto a better resolution of the problem than trying to solve it using brute force. The author of the program I'm working with has released a completely new edition and it may not work with Wine at all. I will be looking into this.
