Ok nice, progress.

So just to check, that has reading correct. It is just writing and erasing that
are causing problems.

The proper fix for the reading and multiple reads is a bit trickier, I am
trying to dig into it and figure out how to do it correctly. So a patch may be
a bit further out. But i am working on it.
