[Bug 30859] After upgrade Wine is now inoperable. Cannot be reinstalled.

I am using Ubuntu 12:04

Note pad did open, but I got this output from the terminal:

wine: created the configuration directory '/home/mark/.wine'
getting server_pid from lock 3836
wine: cannot get pid from lock (lock isn't locked)
err:process:start_wineboot failed to start wineboot, err 1359
getting server_pid from lock 3836
wine: cannot get pid from lock (lock isn't locked)
