Some kind person wrote tools for examining the data files:

I'll try later to figure out at least where the missing cursor
image/resource/icon is kept in the data files (maybe the bitmap*.* files) and
see if I can't trace where it gets loaded and what happens to it from there,
e.g. used as a cursor, turned into a D3D surface, etc.
