Prior to commit 663bc4 the demo crashes. This bug (or was it bug #6912) affected many other strategy games from the publisher Paradox Interactive (e.g. the Europa Universalis series) . The games were crashing during the loading stage, while loading sounds, unless I set MaxShadowSize in the registry.
