I tried testing this by creating an account and trying to buy a FREE book, but even for free books you need a credit card... So is this still an issue in wine 1.9.13 or newer?
Yes, I get this issue in 1.9.18 with the recent version of Nook for PC (http://images.barnesandnoble.com/PResources/download/eReader2/bndr2_setup_la...).
