I am attaching the patch which works around the issue for me. I tested on Nvidia, as well as the other reports here. It would be interesting to know how all that behaves on AMD. The game is persistently sampling a texture which is attached as a render target at the same time. This is naughty. The patch issues a GL memory barrier before drawing for such a case which helps me on Nvidia.
