This seems to have to do with Bug 12929, directx problems with fglrx drivers. Here is what I have to do. Goto http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=12929. First, if you get libGL drmMap errors, you need to get the reverse_preloader patch I put there. That fixes that error for me. Secondly, comment out the two lines mentioned in that bug report that are found in dlls/wined3d/directx.c. Now I can run Guild Wars with -nosound. I just have to find out how to fix the stack overflow error I get when I try and play it with sound. Other than that, Guild Wars works! I am running Ubuntu 8.04, Catalyst 8.6, with an HD2600 Mobility.
