I was confused when I got to the end as the ending is a FMV, and the game skipped straight to the "ranking" screen. It should be possible to test this with the demo (https://archive.org/details/SilentHill4_201405). A FMV should play after entering the Lynch Street station gate, as shown in the video at the 33:00 mark.
