I get javitonino's cursor in Windows 10. So, it is normal.
With the latest Radeon windows drivers the game froze in
the middle of a cut scene, in Windows!  Don't waste your
breath trying to get this game to work. 

In linux with 2.20(s), I get the tilde console with the same
message reported by Arlie. The screen is black in the main menu.
