Version 0.9.10 of pulseaudio should work, but apparently there are still issues with 0..9.13. Could you give some more information about the configuration (distribution name & version, pulseaudio version, ALSA version, whether you are using an Intel HDA soundcard, if you have done anything beyond the stock distribution install/updates to fix any sound issues you may have experienced). Do other games work, like World of Goo or Peggle?
