Well then i`m a bit out of ideas really; could be maybe repainting/focus issue
but that is all a shot in the dark Guess someone really needs to debug this
deeply then. 

Maybe one thing you might try is try maximize /minimize or resize the window,
or run the app in a virtual desktop (see winecfg under graphics tab)
