[Bug 30886] Europa Universalis crashes on startup after "Map properly initialised"

Strange, I installed patch 5.1 and discoverd the following:
Starting with master_volume=100.0 yields a freeze with sound at "Map properly
initialised". Starting with master_volume=-1 yields a crash like without 5.1
