Austin English, thank you for responding. The md5sum of DriverInstaller.exe from both the one created in Ubuntu via WINE and from Windows Vista is the same:
df66b57677f46a298f756b052e82bf07 DriverInstaller.exe
The file that's missing is MSPORTS.DLL. Copy that from windows, put it in ~/.wine/drive_c/windows/system32.
