Hi, i just tested two games with safedisc in wine-1.1.13 and none of these complained "put the original CD into CD-ROM!" I tested:
* Need for Speed Underground 1 ~ safedisk 2.90.040
* Need for Speed Underground 2 ~ safedisk 3.20.030
So it looks like safedisc support is implemented very well. Damn well, because my backup CD copies of these two game which works flawlessly under windows don't run under wine (under windows these backup CDs even don't need SW support like hide CD-R). I have to use originals in wine :( Any comment how is it possible?
Could someone remove "Need for Speed Underground 2" from list of "Show Apps affected by this bug"? I don't know how to do it...
I have installed Need for speed underground 2 on wine 1.2 RC 3. I am running Kubuntu 10.04 on a 64-bit dual core AMD system. I still get the "Please insert the correct DVD-ROM, select OK and restart application" message when I start the game. I presume its the copy protection talking there, right? Wine is pointing to the correct cdrom path and the CD is mounted when I run the game. -- Configure bugmail: http://bugs.winehq.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are watching all bug changes.
