The URL provides 2.2, on windows the auto-update takes it to 2.7.  on
wine-0.9.52, it appears to not update with a message "failed to authenticate". 
I'll retest wtih 0.9.53 and file a bug for the auto-update if necessary.

Yes, the register/create account link does work on windows, it launches a
browser window.
