I think this issue is related to Nvidia proprietary drivers as I got this game
to run on my laptop with Intel HD 4000 with basically the same
setup(Arch+GNOME)

Also the issue isn't exactly blackscreen but rather the game's window becomes
some random mess of stuff that was drawn on my screen when launching the game.
