On an i7 running Ubuntu 10.10, about every second run, I get

mmap() failed: Cannot allocate memory
Assertion 'b' failed at pulsecore/memblock.c:451, function
pa_memblock_acquire(). Aborting.

and the app terminates very quickly.

Running the app under taskset 1 seems to prevent the problem.
