You could be right. I just tried it 6 times in a row, and it started up fine.

However, I'm a little leery of calling this a duplicate just on the basis of
that test; last night it seemed to be fixed, too, for multiple startups, and
this morning it wasn't.  

Austin, does taskset -c 0 help on your system?
