By the way for me only works for "HKEY_CURRENT_USER" (HKCU instead of HKLM)
i.e.

wine REG.exe ADD "HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows
NT\CurrentVersion\AppCompatFlags\Layers" /T REG_SZ /D "~ HIGHDPIAWARE" /F
