Using xephyr to setup a 8 bit screen, game starts but it is mainly black.

Without xephyr, game hangs. Surely, the problem occurs because of 
00d0:fixme:x11drv:X11DRV_desktop_SetCurrentMode Cannot change screen BPP from
32 to 8
