Same behavior can be provoked on Windows if you SetWindowTheme(wndTree,
L"explorer", L"button").

OpenThemeData() alters current window theme (it should not?), also comctl32
code seems to rely on current OpenThemeData() behavior - see
COMCTL32_OpenThemeForWindow().
