I loaded your saved game, and nothing goes wrong. A short in-game
cutscene is played, and then I am sent to the next mission.

Is it possible that you have a "dirty" source tree?
I'd try something in the league of:

git clean -x -d -f
git checkout -f

then apply the p1 patch and rebuid (from configure).
Beware that all non-tracked files will be removed from your source tree.
