I've similar bug as this http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=7996 on Ubuntu
10.4 machine i've recently setup to run dedicated servers.

Connection is fine - but game loads on client till 98% than times out...
This happens only on FE servers  Second Encounter servers are fine.
