Hello folks,

I've created bug 45378 for the driver crash.
You might attach your patch there for documentation/testing.

Anyway the driver won't be useful at all by design. The more serious issue is
actually the installer. While revisiting older bugs mentioning vSphere 5.5 it
was always the driver being targeted (avoiding crashes) but never the v5.x
installer itself (v4.x seemed to work).
